We’re delighted to tell you about a great new feature that simplifies and incentivizes customer rescheduling: When you have to cancel a booking or class/tour, you can now quickly notify your booked customers and make it easy for them to reschedule.

This streamlines rescheduling anytime you have to call off a booking or activity due to an unexpected event like bad weather or illness. You can use it for individual bookings or all bookings in a class, tour, or activity.

Best of all, it incentivizes your customers to rebook their cancelled sessions.

How the new rescheduling feature works

When you cancel a booking or activity from your calendar, you can now tick the “Allow customer to reschedule” checkbox. This lets your customers reschedule after the cancellation.

The system will automatically waive cancellation fees and refund gift vouchers and prepaid credits. This ensures that any payments associated with the booking are retained, while also permitting customers to use their gift vouchers and prepaid credits for any future bookings, within their validity.

When you cancel a booking or activity with the rescheduling box ticked, customers are sent a cancellation notification email that includes a Reschedule button, making it easy for them to select a new date and time for their booking. You can include a personalized message in this email, to give the reason for the cancellation and encourage customers to reschedule their booking.

In your dashboard, bookings for which the rescheduling option is enabled will show a “Reschedule allowed” label, and give you the option to resend the email as a reminder to reschedule their bookings.
